NGASO (Ngariung Soal…) is a ground-breaking response to the urgent need for an inclusive and open culture of scientific discussion. It serves as a forum dedicated to the development of inclusive scientific conversations and aspires to establish a dynamic atmosphere where scientific discussions are accessible to the general public. One of its main goals is to make sure that discussions about science are not restricted to certain groups but rather become a common experience for everyone. The purpose of NGASO is to present the views and in-depth knowledge of specialists who are regarded as knowledgeable and credible in their disciplines, particularly in the area of international relations.
Ngaso 1.0 was held on 13 May 2023 with a discussion topic on “Border Dispute in Karabakh Region between Azerbaijan and Armenia”. This activity was moderated by Anggia Utami Dewi, S.IP., M.IS., Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. K.H. Husnan Bey Fananie, M.A. as the guest speaker.
The issue of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is still a polemic and continues until now. This conflict has not yet had a clear resolution so that at this NGASO, the Department of Studies and Science of BPH Hima HI FISIP Unpad discussed the best resolution that could be used as a settlement in the conflict. Then, in this discussion, it was also discussed further the role that Indonesia could play in dealing with this conflict.
