Alumni Association Profile

The Universitas Padjadjaran International Relations Alumni Association (Ikahi Unpad) was founded in 2016 based on the aspirations of fellow alumni. This association is intended to accommodate aspirations and build kinship between alumni from various classes, professions, and interests. Formed informally and with a family spirit, the activities carried out include social activities, alumni meetings, academic discussions, and various activities according to professional interests.

The profiles of HI Unpad alumni are very diverse. They are successful in their professional fields, both in ‘HI’ fields and other professional fields, which are actually more numerous and just as important. It is proven that HI Unpad alumni can flexibly penetrate all industrial sectors. One of them is by providing diplomatic management and people management skills. This is what makes HI Unpad alumni very diverse, both in terms of the number of classes and professions. The experiences, ideas, and aspirations of these alumni are far-sighted for a better Indonesia. They succeeded in becoming individuals who contributed greatly to the country and society.

With such a diverse alumni profile, Ikahi strives to accommodate the diversity of its members. Ikahi is a means that bridges and realizes the synergy of these extraordinary generations so that these abundant ideas, aspirations, and creativity can be brought together.

Alumni Contribution

Funding & Facilities

At a relatively young age, Ikahi continues to try to be active. There are indeed many challenges, including the pandemic and the busy lives of its members, but this has not dampened Ikahi’s family spirit. Activities that have been carried out include, among others, alumni meetings, academic discussions, music events, public vaccination events, breaking the fast together, and public lectures. In 2018, Ambassadorial Homecoming Day was held, which aims to appreciate alumni who have achieved one of the highest levels of work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and to inspire students who are still on campus to be able to achieve the same achievements based on the direction and experience shared by alumni. During this activity, there was a session to meet alumni and share experiences, and the Hall of Fame was also inaugurated. In 2020, HI Day was also held at the UNPAD Dipatiukur Bandung campus. In 2021, amidst the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, Ikahi contributed to overcoming the pandemic by holding public vaccinations in Jakarta, followed by the same activity carried out in Bandung in collaboration with the Indonesian Navy. These two vaccination activities were highly appreciated by the public, as evidenced by the high interest of the public who took part.

Ikahi also published a Newsletter entitled Nawala. The newsletter is an effort to maintain good communication within the Ikahi extended family. Through this media, information is conveyed regarding various activities carried out by Ikahi, alumni, and the campus. Information dissemination is very important so that information and knowledge obtained by various Ikahi alumni and campus activities can be accessed more easily, has added value, and can always reach all HI Unpad alumni wherever they are.

Academic & Non Academic

Ikahi also continues to strive to support and build good cooperation with campuses. A number of Ikahi activities are also intended to support the learning process of students who are still pursuing their education at HI Unpad. Ikahi has held a number of discussions, public lectures, and various other academic activities.
