The Doctorate program (S-3) in International Relations at UNPAD is currently the first and only Doctorate program in International Relations in Indonesia. Some of the specialized subfields in which International Relations Department at UNPAD excels include Philosophy and Methodology of International Relations, Global Security Studies, Global Political Economy Studies, Globalization Studies, Foreign Policy, and Diplomacy.

Most of the faculty members hold Doctorate (Ph.D.) and Master’s degrees from universities both in Indonesia and abroad. The research and community engagement activities conducted by the faculty members are aligned with the courses taught at the undergraduate level and have been published in accredited national journals (SINTA) and international journals.

Furthermore, the research projects undertaken by the faculty members are funded not only by UNPAD’s internal grants but also through collaborative research initiatives with external institutions, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Communication and Information, the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, the Maritime Security Agency, the Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Singapore, and the Japan International Transport and Tourism Institute (JITTI).

In addition, International Relations Department at UNPAD also collaborates with the International Relations Alumni Association (Ikatan Alumni Hubungan Internasional or IKAHI) of UNPAD in various academic and non-academic activities to expand both national and international networks.

Therefore, I hope that visitors to this page will be interested in delving into global issues and working with us to contribute to the field of International Relations knowledge in the epistemic community, both at the national and global levels.

Thank You.
